Oohh Lala Laughing Gas!

Alright, here is a series of posts regarding a whole bunch of articles from Discovery.com. First up is an article on creatures that release greenhouse gases and you might be surprised! It’s the underwater creatures! Turns out that it’s not just cows and humans, it’s also underwater critters that release laughing gas! Cool, huh? Scientists at the Max Planck Institut and Denmark’s Aarhus University found that many underwater creatures, such as mussels and snails release nitrous oxide, which is known as laughing gas, only when there is nitrate in the water. Nitrate is found in the water because humans have been polluting the water. Therefore, the more we pollute, the more laughing gas is created. Hmmm, I wonder if it’s possible to collect that laughing gas, eh? What do you say guys? Laughing gas, as it turns out, is one of the greenhouse gases that has increased ever since industrialization. However, the main reason behind global warming is the realease of carbon dioxide, released through the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation.
