Obama’s Inauguration
Yes, I did manage to catch it online while it was streaming. The whole nation was pretty excited about this and they have the right to be. First of all, it’s a historical moment with so much symbolism. The walk down Pennsylvania Avenue and the tiny things. It would have been great to actually be there and feel the vibe and the excitement, but sadly I’m stuck here in Davis. Either way, it was pretty fun stuff. I watched it streaming live both on CNN live with Facebook, as well as on Hulu.com. Hulu ended up being my choice because it was about 10 seconds or so faster than CNN. I pretty much watched as everything played itself out, but I don’t think I’m going to keep up with all the balls because frankly I think I’d much rather sleep through all that stuff. His inaguration speech focused pretty much on values and the morals that Americans represent and must defend, rather than focusing on his actions as a president. He tells us that we’ve gotten this far, but it’s time for a change and time to get down to business. It is our responsibility. That’s all I really need to say. Watch it on the news yourself!
