Wires, Wires, and Oh More Wires
We’ve all seen it before, whether it’s someone else’s desk or your very own, wires can be a pain in the ass. However, there are solutions for all of your hairy problems. I’ve compiled a list of solutions for dealing with wires all over the place. There are ways you can do it yourself if you don’t want to spend money and there are a couple of cool gadgets you can buy to get everything all in order. Definitely stay tuned! Some cable manager systems are pretty expensive, but there are ways that get the job done without you having to shell out. Here are just a couple of cool tricks to help you out in your attempt to de-clutter and, for lack of a better word, “de-cable”.
1) The simplest way is, when you buy gadgets and gizmos with long wires that come with metallic wire holders, save those. For now, that is what I’m using. It’s working alright, but it’s not exactly the best way. There are others!
Here are just a couple of other ways to do it. Use something like the Bluelounge Spacestation Dock. It’s pretty cool! I really want one of these because you can organize so many different things. Anyway, it’s gonna cost.

2) You can always take a Glad box and drill a couple of holes in it so wires can get out. You can put your entire surge protector in there. That way, you can just have a box with wires in it. Other ways include putting cables inside a CD case. Pretty cool!

3) Keep-a-Cable is another cool tool and perfect for organizing lose cables at the edge of a desk. It’s probably one of the cheapest solutions. It’s $12 for a 10-pack of 5-wire holders or $4 for a 10-pack of single holders. It can be put underneath or above on the table. You simply stick your cables in there. You’ll barely be able to see it.

4) The Complete Cable Manager is a pricier alternative. It’ll cost $34.95 and is the perfect organizational tool for a complete computer set. It takes all the wires and cables off the floor and put it above the floor. This way everything will be above ground, tangle-free, and you won’t trip over it.
