Freshapps

Again, more with the iPhones and iPod Touch apps. I recently wrote a post about the iPod Touch applications that I have. Shortly after I wrote the blog post, I went ahead and did a little bit of jailbreaking. It’s actually my second attempt at making this work. The first time, my iPod Touch went dead and froze at the startup screen. Luckily I did have backups. This time, however, I succeeded in installing Cydia and Installer. For those of you who want to know how to jailbreak your iPhone or iPod Touch, just go to google or youtube, preferably both and look up “jailbreak iPhone” or “jailbreak iPod Touch”. There are plenty of videos and tutorials out there. I chose to use Quickpwn to do it, since it was simple and easy. I had no problem at all and I’m glad my iPod is now jailbroken because I can get loads of applications for free. There is so much to be discovered on these great products. Anyway, back to Freshapps.com. I stumbled upon the site. Pretty much what it does is it posts applications for the iPhone or iPod Touch along with a helpful summary and price. It’s great because now there is a way to look for applications without having to start up iTunes every single time. The site also allows users to mark them as “fresh”. It’s a great way to see what new apps are out, to keep track of your apps, and to discover apps others are using. Check it out!
