Facebook is now more like Twitter: Status Tagging
If you didn’t get a chance to catch the Facebook Blog Post concerning their new status tagging feature, I recommend you read it. I’ll give you a little background on it if you’re too lazy, but click the Facebook icon to get to the original post.
Yes. It’s pretty awesome. I hadn’t gone on Facebook for a little bit, but when I got back on last night, I noticed that the tagging feature was active. It’s incredible. If you’ve ever had experiences with Twitter, you’ll know how it feels. Now you have the ability to tag people in your statuses and posts. Are you headed out on a date or want to make a certain someone aware of your recent post or status update? Just tag them. All you have to do is enter the “@” symbol and it’ll give you a dropdown list of people or groups you can select. Absolutely spectacular. Now Facebook will be even more addicting and Twitter has some more competition. After you tag someone, it’ll show up on their wall post and link it to your status. Your status will link to their profile. It’s that simple!
Oh and another thing that you may have not noticed. You can now log on with your username instead of your email. Just thought I’d throw that one out there for all of you. I still can’t get over it.
