Prius to go Solar?
It sounds like an idea. It has been rumored that Toyota plans to install solar panels onto it’s next Prius Hybrid. According to the daily business paper Nikkei, Toyota would put the solar panels on the roof of the car. The Prius is scheduled to be redesigned next year and it is expected that it will receive a sleeker look alongside more miles per gallon. What would the solar power be good for? The Prius is a gasoline-electric hybrid car and adding the solar panels would provide energy for using the air conditioning. The original Prius first went on sale in late 1997 in Japan and in 2000 for other parts of the world. In 2003, the Prius was remodeled with a new and improved hybrid system and the third generation is expected to launch by next year. So look for it ladies and gentlemen. I actually really want to get one of these suckers but it’s a little bit on the pricy side for me as of now. Maybe I can save and then we’ll see what happens.
