Flock Revisited
I’ve already blogged about Flock several times over a time of a couple of months. Here is one of the posts that I did about it. Lookie here. I’m about to blog about Flock all over again. Hopefully you’ve either used it or have heard about it. It’s spreading across the Internet, although it seems like Firefox is still winning out against Flock. Let’s get started, for those of you who don’t know what Flock is.
Flock is a browser, very much like Firefox. As a matter of fact, it’s based off Mozilla, meaning that most of those popular add-ons you love so much on Firefox will fit right in with Flock. The main difference between Firefox and Flock is that Flock is a Social Web Browser. What’s that mean? It connects you with all of your social networks simultaneously, so you can stay up-to-date with them while you surf. You can connect and interact with people on Digg, YouTube, Twitter, Myspace, Flickr, and Facebook in your sidebar. What else? You can view RSS feeds and something called a “media stream” with ease. Need to check mail? Just click the mail icon. All of Firefox’s features are there, so if you’re currently using Firefox, the switch over to Flock will be painless and oh-so beautiful. It’s essentially a revamped Firefox with social features. Need to save something and “clip” the web? Just drag and drop text, links, and images that will save for use when you really need them. Oh, and just so you know, you can even BLOG straight from the Flock browser. That means you can blog whenever you feel like it. When you see something interesting that you want to shout about, just click the button and you’re instantly blogging away. I’m blogging from Flock right now. This lets me visit the Flock website, view flock’s toolbar, and surf the web, all while blogging. Handy! You can say that a couple of times more, too.
I’ve been using Flock for a while now and I still find it very useful. With a couple of add-ons, Flock is unstoppable and hands down the winner in my ever-evolving browser war.
Don’t even hesitate! Just go ahead and download it already! Just click here for Flock or click the flock icon below and don’t say I didn’t warn you: You’re about to experience the WEB.
