Music Playlist For April 13, 2009

More music for this week. Today is already Tuesday and I usually do my music posts on a Sunday or at least on that Monday. Sorry about being late. Anyway, I don’t think I spent that much on music this week. I do have a couple of old songs that somehow made it up on my playlist and I’d like to share it all with you. Just an update, I’m in the process of analyzing my life and so I’ve decided to revamp my website (http://www.415vince.com) as well. Look for some changes soon and there will definitely be changes here on the blog as well. Don’t forget, Earth Day is coming up and I still have some ideas for posts. Hope you guys enjoy! Like I usually say: Cheers!

1) Photoshop – Bob Ricci: For those of you who haven’t heard of Bob Ricci, check the website out here. He also has a Facebook artist page, but definitely check out his website first. He does a whole bunch of awesome parodies. Enjoy! I had a LOT of LOLs. Make sure you check out Ode To Playboy, Double Diet, Unhackable, and Wonderbra. Here is an awesome snippet: “I got all A’s on my report card, At least the one I showed my Dad. And here’s a note from Cameron Diaz, Saying I’m the best she’s ever had. I got the girl of my dreams, To finally break up with Eugene.

2) 360 – Josh Hoge: Nice song, pretty mellow R&B I’d say. Good beat, smooth, and great lyrics. Actually, I’d like to add that they’re pretty beautiful lyrics and the music video ain’t that bad either. Compared to that song, hmm, what was it? Oh yea, Fuck It, this is pretty mellow.

3) Pretty Girl – Ernie Halter: Acoustic and very beautiful. Very similar to John Mayer in genre and style. Great song. I’d recommend that everyone get a chance to just PLAY it. Lyrics are meaningful and it makes me happy just listening to it. Perfect for good weather in the great outdoors. “Who me? I am just mesmerized by your every word and movement. You are close as a girl can be to ideal, somehow you disagree.

4) What I Want – Daughtry (ft. Slash): Awesome song. I’ve always listened to Daughtry’s stuff and this one is pretty good. Catchy. I’m going to be BLASTING this and cranking it up when everybody is at work and school. Lucky me, right? “Cause what I want and what I need has now become the same thing.

5) Boom Boom Pow – Black Eyed Peas: What about this song huh? Sure thing it’s catchy. That explains why everyone loves it so much. Good song to chill to. What else do I have to say about this song? BOOM BOOM! “That digital spit, next level visual shit. I got that boom boom pow, how the beat bang, boom boom pow.

6) Never Surrender – Corey Hart: Good song. This is actually the first time I’ve ever listened to it and I think it’s pretty good. How about you? I guess this should have went with my “Blast from the Past” post, but I hadn’t discovered it yet. “So if you’re lost and on your own, You can never surrender. And if your path won’t lead you home, You can never surrender. And when the night is cold and dark, You can see, you can see light. Cause no-one can take away your right, To fight and never surrender.

7) Insomnia – Craig David: R&B. My sister tells me that there is a “better” Korean version of this. I found this song rather annoying to begin with, but after listening to it for the third time, it’s alright. I’ve had my fair share of insomnia. Thanks for sharing, Mr. David. “I never thought that I’d fall in love, love, love, love. But it grew from a simple crush, crush, crush, crush. Being without you girl, I was all messed up, up, up, up. When you walked out, said that you’d had enough-nough-nough-nough.

8 ) Hot Revolver – Lil Wayne: How bout the Lil Wayne? When I first listened to these songs, I really didn’t think he had it in him to do something like this. I don’t really know what to call this genre. You decide for yourself. “You’re like a Hot Revolver, but you ain’t killin no one but yourself.

9) Pretty Girl – Sugarcult: Hey, another song called Pretty Girl. Why am I posting all these pretty girl songs eh? No clue. Just enjoy it. I have nothing to say to this song, just that I haven’t heard it in a while. “Pretty girl is suffering, while he confesses everything.
