Apture
I ran across Apture last night and didn’t have time to post about it until today. I registered and tried it out for the first time today and so far It’s working out great. I’m enjoying the feel of it. I never knew that something like this could be so easy. Apture is an editing tool that makes content-sharing easier than ever. It can be used on many blogs and websites. It allows a user to embed content from other sites and many user submitted sites such as youtube. It offers a wide arrangement of content, from google maps, to photos, videos, files, websites, and many more. Apture allows content publishers and bloggers, like myself, to search for related items on the spot and then link them to specific terms. As a registered user, Apture has a little dashboard screen that hovers in the right corner, allowing you to edit as you go. It is simple and easy to use, not to mention very stylish. If you are using wordpress, as I am, you do need to install a plug-in for it to work, but it is very much worth it. I think it will appeal to many bloggers because it’s a great addition to their content, allowing viewers to look at what is related. For example, I can embed some things here so you can see how cool it really is. The definition of a blogger can be linked to wikipedia. A picture of a dog can be linked and even a map of san francisco. All this and more. For example, the new song by Coldplay, “Viva La Vida”. If you can find it, you can embed it. It’s that simple. I’m a fan and I think from now on, I’ll be linking with Apture. Good work guys! Hope you all enjoy!
