Music Playlist for the Week of March 16, 2009
Well my first post of music for the week of March 09, 2009 was a success by my standards so I’ll continue. Let’s see what I’m listening to this week. Awesome right? Music heals my soul! Oh and I have a video in the end that is quite aweseome. Enjoy! //*NOTE: People on Facebook reading this, the youtube videos are not going to load so I suggest you go to the actual page here.
1) Booty Music – Deepside: What can I say? Hot stuff. It’s a hot song. Starts of slow, but if you want to get your groove on, its the one. Pretty good stuff and I like jamming to it. Pretty smooth. That’s why it’s on my “Most played” list in the iTunes. Hope you like it as much as I do. I’d expect it to be a pretty good club song. The beat makes you just want to DANCE.

2) Down With The Sickness – Disturbed: Classic. When I’m in a jam and I need to get those voices out of my head. I digress here, why do I always have voices in my head? Anyway, this is the song that I play when I need to just let go of everything. I don’t think I have to think about this song. If you’re not a fan of rock, you might want to stay away. The rest of you, LOUD is how you want to play this music. Give it some respect, folks.

3) Prom Queen – Lil Wayne: Wow! Who would have though? It’s hip-rock I guess you would call it. Some people are disgusted by this song, but I find it pretty dang catchy. Definitely something different from Lil Wayne for a change and I think this change is pretty refreshing, but it’s up to you to decide. I currently have it on replay. Good stuff. “Fucked around and turned me down, cause she didn’t think I could play the part…She never know how, how everything could turn around.“

4) Sweet Thing – Keith Urban: It’s a beautiful thing. There are definitely people who don’t like country. I know one of my housemates doesn’t particularly enjoy the soul of country. I mean come on, they’re singing about the simple things and the beautiful things in life. What else is there to get? I’m a country fan and this song just blows me away. You know what I mean. This song brings the feeling of that time when you saw the girl you love, just a beautiful natural girl. Again, sweet stuff. This is what country is about. “Won’t you climb on out of your window, while the world is sleepin. Cause you know i need you, and there’s no way i’ll be leavin.“

5) Can’t Believe it (Remix) – T-Pain ft. Justin Timberlake: What more can I say? Another one of those songs that you put in your iTunes and let it shuffle too. Nice song just to hang out to and that’s what my housemates all agree on. At least most of them I would think. Also another “get up and dance” or at least “snap your fingers” song.

6) Dead And Gone – T.I ft. Justin Timberlake: Catchy and pretty nice harmonics and lyrics too. Another good chill out song on rotation. Number 44 on the playlist down. Love blasting this song because that’s the only way it’ll reach the kitchen. “Go get it” is what I have to say.

7) Rule the World – Take That: This is from soundtrack for the movie Stardust. Great song, both peaceful, meaningful, and just plain old good to listen to. I rock out to it all the time. It’s a nice song to just sit back and reflect on the world too. Not too upbeat, but not a depressing song, so it’s good for just chilling. Definitely somewhere at the top of my list. “You light the skies up above me, a star so bright you blind me…If walls break down I will comfort you…If you stay with me, girl, we can rule the world.”

Shone – Flo Rida ft. Pleasure P: Catchy stuff. Something we blast in the building when I’m in. Yea, you know I’m home when that music is pumped up. If not, I’m probably sleeping, doing some actual serious work, or watching videos. But 80-90% of the time, the music is in the house. Welcome to Saratoga West Apt. #15 guys! Loving the beat.

9) You Found Me – The Fray: It’s a song by The Fray. They have some pretty good stuff. I must admit, I don’t quite play this song as much as I probably should. Just playing it now makes me want to play it again and again. I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s an excellent song, but I just haven’t played it that much. Great song. Keep your faith. Something ot remember: “Lost and insecure, you found me, you found me.”

10) Blame It ft T-Pain – Jamie Foxx: Catchy and something you would expect T-Pain to be in. Currently blasting on my computer and at the top of my list. Good stuff. Not yet on heavy rotation, but I expect it to be rising in the ranks on my playlist any day now.

11) How Do You Sleep – Jesse McCartney ft. Ludacris: According to my housemate, it is one of his “favorite songs”. I wouldn’t think that this would be one of them, but who can blame him. It’s pretty catchy, the music video is pretty creative and hey it’s all good. I guess I see why he would like this song: he can probably identify. “It’s been about a year now, ain’t seen or heard from you. I been missing you crazy, how do you, how do you sleep? Cuz I couldnt get you off my mind if I tried 24/7, 365. And my night’s so cold, day’s so long.”

12) I Do Not Hook Up – Kelly Clarkson: Catchy, nice beat, and love it! It’s not at the top of my list, but it’s worth listening to for sure. Kelly Clarkson’s songs are pretty nice and this one is no exception. Recommended? Yes, I would recommend it, but I have a feeling that if I listen to it too many times a day, I would tire pretty quickly.

13) Day ‘N’ Nite – Kid Cudi: It’s the stoner song of all time. I didn’t believe it when I first saw it, but it’s definitely worth getting. I’m behind this song all the way. Once you hear the beat you won’t be able to get it out of your head. Not only is the music catchy, upbeat, and awesome, the video is pretty hilarious. Alright, I’ve included the YouTube video under album art so you can all understand what I’m yabbering about. “The lonely loner seems to free his mind at nite, ah ah at nite. Day n nite.”

14) 1,2,3,4 – Plain White T’s: Good stuff. Again, a touching song. Not exactly upbeat, but makes you feel all good and fluffy inside. It’s also a good song for relaxing to. At least that’s what I think. Real catchy riffs and melody. I’m a fan and this is definitely going on the top. Click! It’s done. It’s official, I’m loving the song. Check out the touching video too while you’re at it. “There’s only one thing to do, Three words for you I love you. There’s only one way to say those three words and that’s what I’ll do, I love you.“

15) Boyfriend Number 2 – Pleasure P: Good stuff again. What kinda song is this? Here, just let me show yout the first couple of words: “Turn around, let me lick you from your neck down to your navel.” It’s a hot, steamy, sexy love song. Rather, it’s not that much of a love song, but instead it’s more like a sex song. And it’s excellent at that. Very hot indeed. Good job! It’s on my list and I don’t mind blasting it up all the way. “Girl, you feel so sexy, I’m not your other man, I’m a take my time and kiss all around ya. Only if you let me.“

16) Quiet – Rachael Yamagata: It’s a beautiful, yet somewhat akward song at the same time, but it’s still really good. Definitely good music and heaven to my ears. I’m just showing you now I have a soft, squishy side too. However, I think this song is a little too quiet for my tastes. I still like to play it once in a while, usually when I’m in the. “let’s sit and think about nothing” mode. This is when this song comes in useful. I’ve included a YouTube video of Alyssa Bernal’s cover of the song. Oh and Alyssa Bernal is in a world of her own with her singing. Spot on, lovely voice, good stuff.

17) Second Chance – Shinedown: I haven’t put too many rock songs up on the list for this week, so here is one. Beautifully done and if you think about it for a little bit, the lyrics are meaningful. When I blast it, all my worries travel on those lyrics and go away, but when the song ends they all come rushing back. That’s why I keep blasting my music all the time. It drowns out everything so I don’t have to pay attention to it! It’s love I tell you. I love my music. “Sometimes goodbye is a second chance.”

18) I Love College – Asher Roth: A fav. Introduced by my housemate. I swear he has some pretty good taste in music. Good stuff about the college life. So true right? We wish college never end? Pretty good stuff. That’s pretty much all I have to say. Ingenious lyrics, still with a nice beat. Hit it! “I danced my ass off and had this one girl completely naked. Drink my beer and smoke my weed but my good friends is all I need. Pass out at 3, wake up at 10, go out to eat then do it again. Man, I love college.”

19) Fuck It (I Don’t Want You Back) – Eamon: Another recommendation by my housemate. Again, we can both identify with the song. Maybe that’s why we’re gonna blast this shit next week. Actually the party has already started with this song. So simple, so amazing, so true, and great message. I swear, this dude is a mind reader. Thanks for the song. “See I don’t, know why, I liked you so much. I gave you all, of my trust. I told you, I loved you, now thats all down the drain. Ya put me through pain, I wanna let u know that I feel.“

20) Gotta Be Somebody – Nickelback: Everyone knows that I’m a huge fan of all over Nickelback’s music. Every single one of their songs has got me. I love blasting this shit as loud as it’ll go and just rocking out to it. Good stuff I know. Actually I’m listening to their old album but this song is from the album “Dark Horse” and I have all of the tracks on heavy rotation. Gotta Be Somebody is the popular one among the new album. After all, it is pretty dang catchy. Enjoy! Blast it! “And everyone wants to feel like someone cares. Somebody else that feels the same somewhere. There’s gotta be somebody for me out there.”

Good stuff for this week. It’s gonna be crazy in the Club House One-Fife, Hooters Network! WHOOOOT! Here is something inspiration and beautiful. A YouTube video and tribute to humanity and music. Enjoy.
