Here’s an infographic by Coffee for Less that’ll get your brain juices flowing. I found this startling because I always thought the United States was a big coffee consumer, but, as it turns out, we rank pretty low on that front. Just take a look at Finland! That’s quite startling. Another thing that surprised me was that the average monthly spending on coffee for San Jose is $34, beating out San Francisco at $30.
I’ve been waiting for the release of Fed Up for a while, just because it caught my eye a while back. I love documentaries, much like I love reading nonfiction. Although there are plenty of obviously biased spins in them, documentaries are, for the most part, factual. Fed Up not only highlights a huge problem we’re facing today, but reveals just how big the problem really is. It explores the link between obesity and sugar, while attempting to take on the biological and social links. It looks like the odds are stacked against us.
I love food and I’m always cooking up a storm in my kitchen. I’m not much of a baker, but that’s where my sister comes in. She’s the baker and dessert expert. I’m the entree and soup/stew guy. I’m always on the prowl for recipes, places to visit, and tips for cooking.
Chef Needs has some great infographics for everyone to enjoy. I’m all for infographics, especially when they’re useful and informative. Let’s go through them real quick. Props to Chef Needs for some good work.
One of the most important ingredients in cooking is oil. I’ve seen my housemates ruin perfectly good pans because they overheated the oil. I cringed and cried myself to sleep that night. Refer to the infographic below for the low down on oil.
Make sure to look around their blog while you’re at it.
Here’s part three of three. I love coffee and so when I come across coffee infographics, I collect them. Let’s go: infographics – coffee.

Here’s the first of a series featuring infographics that I’ve slowly collected over the months. I only started doing this recently, and only with graphics that really captured my attention. The first topic is anything tech and Internet related. Infographics – tech related.
Featuring: the manual photography cheat sheet. This is by far my favorite infographic of all time. I love photography, so I’m slightly biased. Still, it’ll help you out if you’re just starting out and it’s a good reference. I wish I had this when I was just starting out, too. By now I have this all committed to memory.
